Wow. I come off like an easily offended snowflake. I'm still what you call in the US a liberal progressive. But I really think the current outrage culture from the liberal progressive side is the antithesis of liberal progressivism. NOT EVERYTHING THAT OFFENDS IS HATE SPEECH. Like Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk and The Young Turks, I'm also a free speech absolutist. A person needs to actually demand violence (in a bona fide way) to even be considered as uttering hate speech. Stan threatening his girl with violence in a drama skit that Eminem created is NOT HATE SPEECH.
